Equestrian Facilties - Second To None In The Area

Following great investment over the years, the yard boasts fantastic training facilities - including no less than three arenas. There are a variety of cross country fences and off road tracks all set in 120 acres, and there is further extensive hacking through the neighbouring country park and over neighbouring farmland and country roads.

THE SCHOOLS AND SHOWJUMPS

This very versatile school can be used in its entirety, or in can be marked off into three 20m by 40m schools - or indeed any combination required.

15m by 33m All Weather Floodlit School/Lunging Arena

Vogrie Equestrian Floodlit School / Lunging AreaThis is obviously a smaller area, but still very useful. I personally use it a lot to lunge youngsters and start them off in a slightly restricted area, and it is invaluable for small children with little ponies!!!

Vogrie Equestrian JumpsColoured show jumps with spooks and fillers; including co-ordinated double and treble fences, wall and viaduct are available for use as are other training aids such as polyjump blocks and plastic poles. We are keen to encourage riding clubs and local groups to hire these facilities for shows and training.

The Hacking

Vogrie Equestrian - View of the hackingTracks have been created around the perimeter of the farm which provide an excellent hack in themselves. Further routes are easily accessible through the woods onto a network of quiet side roads and farmland and there is plenty of choice. Gentle scenic rides or equally scenic but hilly ones, most useful for fitness training.

The Grazing

Horses grazing at Vogrie EquestrianThe paddocks are all electrically fenced and come in variety of sizes and quality of grass, so we can regulate each individual horses diet according to its' needs. And with 60 acres, all year round turn out is not a problem.

The Stables

The Stables at Vogrie EquestrianWe have two areas of stabling - a large shed with modern boxes and a traditional stables, with old-fashioned partitions within a stone built steading block. Both areas are bright and airy and have spacious accommodation. Automatic drinkers are standard, as are tie rings and rug racks. Plenty of taps and hoses are situated around the yard for convenience. We use barley straw for bedding down, and shavings are only normally used for medical reasons. Haylage is available to all the animals and is of the best quality.

We have large tack and feed rooms adjoining the stable blocks.
